July 2017 – Ready or Not, Here We Come.

On or before Monday July 17 (2017), we will post pictures of one or more of the several prototypes of the still-under-development Ranger II, which represent the culmination of almost two years of our development efforts. I expect the pieces will closely resemble a gun. In my wildest dreams, it will be a functioning piece, maybe even a reliable one.

It’s no secret that these efforts have been plagued by mistakes and missteps along the way which have contributed to the delay. While we’re not out of the woods yet, we believe that most of that interruption is behind us.

What you won’t see or read about at this unveiling is any reference to cost or availability. This will come in due course, but if I were a betting man (which I’m not), I’d say under $500 and before Christmas seem likely at this point.

As more information becomes available, we’ll share it.

Comments

      1. Because they couldn’t produce them at a price that was sustainable. Basically, they were losing money on the 1st ed. Ranger and felt that if they raised the price to make a reasonable profit that they would then have priced the product right out of its market.

  1. I’m happy to hear of continued progress on the Ranger II. Once the Ranger II is in production, I’d love to see Black Widow and Pug variations of both the Ranger and the Sidewinder.

  2. Would the Ranger II be a limited production like the original Ranger? Or would this be something where more of us can get one?

  3. Will this be a limited edition for like 500 like the first Ranger was? Or will more of us have a chance to get one?

  4. Happy 4th and thank you for apprising us of the good news.
I’m confident that the final product will be well worth the wait.
I look forward to viewing of the pics on or before Monday July 17.

  5. I loved the Ranger design the first time I saw it, but never could find one. My order goes in the first day they are available.

  6. Do you have any “Speed Loaders” for your new Ranger, or for the Sidewinder?

When the Rangers become available, will we be able to purchase them directly through the manufacturer, or will you post those dealers who have access to them?

Is there any kind of “waiting list”, or someplace to signup to purchase the first round of Rangers produced?

  7. Great news Sandy! Any idea how long it would be to get a 4 inch version out there for us folks in California?

  8. Great news Sandy! Any idea how long after that you would be able to get a 4 inch version on the market for us folks in California?

  9. I can’t think of anything, I have ever been looking forward to. I love my Pug, & Sidewinder but I so look forward to the Rangerll. Thank you Sandy & staff for all you do.

  10. From what I’ve seen so far the Ranger II looks like a piece I’d like to add to my NAA collection. I’m hoping the final product will be a mass production item at an affordable price.
